Get into Elementor and Dashboard

To get into Elementor:

-Go to pages

-Select Edit with Elementor- blue button on top

-Click on the page you want to edit

-Elementor will load

-Title

-Hide title

-YOAST SEO (if plugin installed)

-Page Style- background and padding

-Advanced- only for Elementor premium members


How to Add Columns and a Widget

Add a widget to start creating: Click on the + red button in the widget area

-Click on the Widget section in the Dashboard

(little square boxes)

-Drag and drop the widget into the column area.

You will see a blue line indicating that is where the widget will drop

You can have more than one widget in a column

Example:

-Drag and drop the image

-Drag and drop heading

-Drag and drop text editor

-Drag and drop button


How to Edit and Style a Widget

You can edit each individual widget by clicking on the widget and viewing your dashboard for Content/Style/Advanced.

Content: Basic content info of the selected widget

Style- Think of this as how you will style your widget- the size of the image or font and size of text, button colors, text colors, hover colors, and more.

Advanced – You can add motion effects to each widget, borders, background effects, and more.


How to Edit the Layout of the Widget

Layout section- Create columns to be the full width of the page, columns gaps, and more.


Types of Free Widgets

Types of Free Widgets-

Basic: Inner Sections (side by side two columns for text use), Heading, Image, Text Editor (add text as one column), Video (Youtube), Button, Divider (line), Spacer (space), Google Maps, and Icons.

General: Image with text below box, Icon box, Star Rating, Image Carousel (sliders), Basic Gallery Grid, Icon List, Counter, Progress Bar, Testimonials, Tabs, Accordion, Toggle, Social Media Icons, Alert, SoundCloud (audio clips), Shortcode, HTML, Menu Anchor (internal smooth scrolling navigation), Sidebar, Read More, and Text Path (attach your text to any shape).
